Educators and Trainers Database

The Drug Education Forum insist that all trainers/educators listed on this website have attended a DEF induction session, submitted proof of their qualifications listed, Criminal background, and signed the “DEF pledge” to deliver drug and alcohol sessions to young people to an agreed standard.

Why should you use the database?
The database provides organisations/schools with trainers/educators who are:

• Convenience of an easy way to contact relevant professionals
• A wider range of opportunities/services to access

What is the aim of the search tool?
It is our aim to provide a useful search tool in order that you find suitable and quality trainers/educators within the county. By using the search facility, you will be able to access individual trainers/educators portfolios enabling you to select the most appropriate person for your group or organisational needs.

However, it is important that you refer to your own agency/company/school/college policy in relation to working with outside visitors. We recommend all our trainers/educators to use the DEF visitor forms before they deliver a session.

Theatre Companies
The DEF is unable to verify qualifications and Criminal Background checks for each individual member of staff associated to a theatre company. It is therefore important that you refer to your own agency/company/school/college policy in relation to outside visitors and the policy of the theatre company.
